Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Uganda's most famous national parks. It covers an area of 321 square kilometers (124 square miles) in the Kanungu District. The park is renowned for its exceptional biodiversity and is home to more than half of the world's remaining mountain gorilla population. Visitors come from all over the globe to embark on life-changing gorilla trekking experiences in the dense and captivating Bwindi Forest. Besides gorillas, the park also boasts diverse bird species and is a prime destination for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts.
